OpenAFS Client Download and Manual Installer
Connecting to Andrew File System (Installing the AFS Client)
Before installing or using DaFIS Transaction Processing you must have a connection to the Q: drive on one of the campus Andrew File System (AFS) servers. Use this step-by-step guide to install the AFS Client for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista, for use with the DaFIS TP application. Click on each step to get detailed instructions.
| Attention: |
- Each step, including mapping the Q: Drive, must be completed in order to ensure that the AFS Client is properly installed.
- There is a different AFS client installer for Windows Vista 64-bit; the installer is different, but the version (1.5.64) is the same.
- The option to connect via one of the AFS Proxy Servers is no longer recommended and may cause connectivity and performance problems.

Before you begin ...
- Any previous mapping to the Q: Drive must be removed.
