How Do I . . .Install the AFS Client

Use this step-by-step guide to install the AFS Client for Windows 2000/XP, for use with the DaFIS TP application. Click on each step to get detailed instructions.

Note:
Each step, including mapping the Q: Drive, must be completed in order to ensure that the AFS Client is properly installed.

Attention:
Some users have indicated that they experienced problems when installing the AFS Client on a computer running Vista. A couple of things that may help:
  • Try mapping to the proxy servers and do the install.
  • Connect via the AFS service, then download a copy of the entire Q:\DaFIS\Special\10g_Vista and run setup.exe from the 10g Vista folder.
