DaFIS Transaction Processing
Upgrade Installation Guide

These instructions guide you through the automated installer for software required to access DaFIS Transaction Processing (TP). These instructions assume that a previous version of DaFIS TP has already been installed on the computer.

Note: The installer may take as long as 15 minutes to run. You'll need about 250 MB free disk space on the computer.

From the Start Bar Select Run.
Enter 'Q:\DaFIS\setup.exe' in the Run Dialog Box and click OK.
Click OK to accept the copyright notice.
DaFIS TP is covered by the Electronic Communications Policy. Click I Agree to acknowledge the terms of the policy. Click View Policy to review the policy with your web browser.
Select the DaFIS components that you want to install. For a standard install, select only Oracle 10g Client and DaFIS Production. The shortcuts you select will be placed on the Start menu in a DaFIS TP program group.
Click Yes if you'd like the shortcuts placed on the desktop also.
If prompted, select the drive letter where you want to install the Oracle 10g Client. Click OK to continue.
The Oracle 10g Client installer will be started next. Click OK to continue.
The Oracle 10g Client installer doesn't give much indication that it is progressing. The main installer screen will display a timer. The Oracle 10g Client splash screen will be displayed for several minutes. A file copy progress screen will follow.

If the Oracle Universal Installer splash screen is displayed for more than 10 minutes, the process has probably stalled. To recover, restart the computer and try again.

Click OK to dismiss the completion confirmation message.
