New DaFIS Web Site Release
The DaFIS Web site has had a makeover! Highlights include:
- Updated layout, organized by function
- Additional resources, including a New User Toolkit – The toolkit is designed to get DaFIS users up and running without taking a class. We encourage experienced users to check it out, too!
- Links to DaFIS related systems such as MyTravel, UCD Buy, FIS Web Applications, and Direct Deposit
- A bulletin so we can quickly update you on important news
A couple of notes about using the new site:
- You can return to the home page by clicking on the DaFIS header in the left corner of the Web page
- If you have bookmarks to specific pages of the previous site, they may no longer work. Please delete them and create new bookmarks.
We hope you’ll find the site helpful and informative.

Decision Support Release
The highlight of this release:
- Additional search functionality added to Sub Fund Summary by Consolidation (55) and Object Expenditures by Fiscal Year (256). The 55 now includes the ability to search on multiple Sub Fund Group Types and OP Fund Group Codes at one time. Fund manager has been added as a search criteria and can also be viewed on the 55 report. The 256 now allows users to search on multiple OP Fund Group Codes at one time.

Decision Support Release
The highlight of this release:
- New Report: Outstanding Travel Cash Advances (331). This report displays outstanding cash advances made via the MyTravel pre-trip application. View all outstanding cash advances for Travel & Entertainment by division or department. Future planned enhancements include the ability to sort by traveler name and spreadsheet output format. Per 6/15/09 message sent to the MyTravel e-mail list, any cash advances on this report that have a transaction date prior to 3/1/2008 should be cleared on a paper-based Travel Expense Form or Request for Payment - Entertainment Expense (available on the Travel & Entertainment Forms page), along with the applicable DaFIS document. Any cash advance from 3/1/2008 forward will need to be complete in MyTravel.

Decision Support Release
The highlight of this release:
- CAS Login Screen. Consistent with the campus’ plan to move systems toward a more secure and reliable authentication process, Decision Support now uses the Central Authentication Service (CAS) instead of Distauth to access the system. You still use your UCD login ID and Kerberos password; however, the login screen refers to CAS instead of to Distauth.

- New Background Color for GL Review. To make it easier to differentiate items needing annotation from other items (e.g., object consolidation headings), a rose color background has been added.

Decision Support Release
The highlight of this release:
- New Search Fields Added to OP Fund Lookup (236). In order to assist users in locating OP Fund information, the following search fields have been added or modified on the OP Fund Lookup (236):
- OP Location Code: Modified to allow searches on both OP Locations 3 and L
- Fund Manager: New field; search for OP Fund assigned to a specific fund manager
- Sub Fund Group and Sub Fund Group Type: Modified to allow searches on multiple sub fund groups/types
- FSR Date Range: New field; search for OP Funds with a specific range of Final Status Report dates
- Award From/To Amount: New field; search for OP Funds with a specific award minimum and maximum amount
- PI Name: Modified; defaults name of user logged in; interactive search field, user can type the first few letters of the PI name and choose from a list of options
- PI Organization Code: New field; search for OP Funds assigned to PIs in a specific organization
- Orgs to Show: New field; identify whether you want to see results for the selected organization only or for all subordinate organizations that report to that organization
