Establishing Your DaFIS TP Password Once you have a UCD login ID, someone with DaFIS Transaction Processing (TP) access can give you TP access (see Creating an FIS User). You must establish your DaFIS password within 48 hours of being approved as a new TP user (see Creating an FIS User, Step 3). The Kerberos password that you set up when you obtained your UCD Login ID is used for logging into DaFIS Decision Support (DS), but it is not automatically used by TP. If your Kerberos password meets the TP password criteria, you can establish the same password for TP. Having trouble picking a password? Find that you forget them easily? We have a few hints on selecting memorable passwords that might help.
Sharing Your DaFIS TP Password
Changing Your DaFIS TP Password Since your password must never be shared with anyone else, you should change your password immediately if someone else finds out what it is or if you are concerned that the password has been compromised in any way. Note: DaFIS users do not need to change passwords if moving to a new department. An FIS User document should be processed to update the organization code to which the employee is assigned. The same login ID and password can continue to be used in the new department. If you have forgotten your password, call the Accounting & Financial Services Help Desk at (530) 754-6780 to set up a new one.
